i. Litigation
We don’t rush litigation; we take our time to analyze issues, research, and strategize on the best way forward. We advise our clients whether litigation is the best suit given the nature of the business, risk faced, or level of non-compliance with contractual or statutory obligations.
We represent governments [both national & local], parastatals & state corporations, private companies, and individuals. Our expertise in litigation is diverse, ranging from complex commercial transactions in investments and construction, citations by regulatory agencies, public procurement, constitutional rights, and environmental & land disputes.
ii. Alternative Dispute Resolution
We appreciate that not all disputes should go through the court system. Our team, therefore, has experience in out-of-court negotiations, mediation, and arbitration. In complex commercial disputes, we bring in a non-legal technical expert to provide sector-specific expertise to ensure that our clients’ needs are protected even at the negotiations table. In the event ADR fails, we are always ready to take up the matter through the court system depending on the agreed strategy and desired outcome.
